Dr. Brian Sullivan joined the Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center in October 2013 as a family practitioner and was soon promoted to Assistant Medical Director and then Medical Director for our flagship medical facility in Worcester.
A graduate of Boston College, Dr. Sullivan pursued his medical degree at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester, Massachusetts. He did his internship and residency at the University of Utah. Post-residency, Dr. Sullivan became an attending physician at Community Health Centers, Inc., Utah. He also participated in various volunteer efforts including working at the Baan Dada Orphanage and Kwai River Hospital in Thailand.
Among his many responsibilities as the Medical Director for Kennedy CHC-Worcester, Dr. Sullivan focuses on clinician morale and directs the medical staff meetings. He has provided solid leadership for the implementation of a new optimal scheduling system for the organization being developed to improve access and decrease wait time for appointments by increasing the availability of same day and follow up appointments for our patients. Dr. Sullivan has also been involved in a number of operational initiatives to improve efficiencies to increase patient and provider satisfaction, as well as several clinical improvement initiatives including our colorectal screening project.
Dr. Sullivan was awarded a Forty Under40 Award from the Worcester Business Journal in 2016.
