WHSI: Worcester Healthy Start Initiative
The Worcester Healthy Start Initiative is designed to improve the health and well-being of mothers, babies, and their families in Worcester through case management, educational programming, and community involvement. If you are pregnant or have a young baby, we can connect you with medical care, health insurance, and baby supplies. We also help our families with food, housing and transportation needs. The program helps women get the support they need during pregnancy.
The Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center coordinates the program in collaboration with UMass Memorial Health Care, the Family Health Center of Worcester, and Pernet Family Health Service. Women can access services through any of these organizations.
Worcester Healthy Start is a federally-funded, community-based program. It is free, private, and open to all women who are pregnant or have young babies living in Worcester.
