Matthew Sanford joined the Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center in 2008 as the Director of Information Technology and Security Officer. During his tenure he has been responsible for the overall technology needs and advancement of the health center, including the successful migration to a new electronic health record in 2012.
Matthew attended Plymouth State College in New Hampshire before joining the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1993 until 1997 when he received an honorable discharge for serving his country.
Matthew began his career in community health centers as the Director of I.T. at Manet Community Health Center, Quincy, Massachusetts, in 2004.
Matthew received the Edward M. Kennedy CHC President’s Award in 2012 and leads an I.T. team that has won the staff Customer Service Award in 2013 and the Employee of the Year Award in 2014. He is also a graduate of the Suffolk University Certificate Program in Community Health Center Management, class of 2005.
