Kennedy Community Health is expanding access to care in Worcester and Milford
Opening Early 2023
605 Lincoln Street, Worcester
Kennedy Community Health has purchased an additional building at 605 Lincoln Street, Worcester to expand access to critical care for the Greater Worcester community.
Beginning in early 2023, 605 Lincoln Street will house the Health Center’s dental, optometry, behavioral health and urgent care services. All other services will continue to be offered at Kennedy Community Health’s flagship site at 19 Tacoma Street, which is approximately 3/4 mile from the new location. This exciting change will allow the Health Center to offer better access to care, nearly doubling its footprint in the community and its capacity to serve more patients.
Dental and urgent care services, currently being offered at 19 Tacoma Street, will remain open throughout the buildout with no disruption to care for patients. Upon the opening of the new building, the services will be moved to the new location, freeing additional space for medical exam rooms at the Tacoma Street location.
Optometry and behavioral health, currently being offered at the Health Center’s 631 Lincoln Street location, will also remain open at their current location until the new site is fully operational. Patients will be notified in advance of their appointments when the change in location will take place.
41 Cape Road, Milford
This exciting expansion is only one of two that the Health Center has planned for 2023. The second expansion, in Milford, will also double the Health Center’s footprint in the community and bring new, vital services previously not offered in the community due to space constraints. The new building, located across the street from the Health Center’s current site at 42 Cape Road, is also slotted to be opened in early 2023.
The new Milford location will house all of the Health Center’s current services in the community, including primary care, behavioral health and health insurance enrollment assistance. The move will nearly double the number of medical exam rooms in the community, providing grater access to care for more patients in the community. In addition, Kennedy Community Health will introduce new services to the community including dental and optometry, among other services.
The new building is under construction, with an anticipated open date in early 2023. Patients will be notified in advance of their appointment when the transition is complete.
