Kennedy CHC Receives Outstanding Partner Award from UMass

Worcester, MA (June 10, 2014) The Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center announces that it recently received the Outstanding Community Partner Award from the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMass) Graduate School of Nursing Program. The award was presented to Antonia G. McGuire, President and CEO, Kennedy CHC, at the Nursing School’s graduation ceremony held on Friday, May 30, 2014. The Health Center was acknowledged for its excellent work in hiring and educating many nursing students in the UMass program.

According to Ms. McGuire, “every nurse who has been hired by Kennedy CHC from the UMass program has been a great addition to our organization.” She adds, “I want to thank UMass for this wonderful recognition. I also want to acknowledge the Kennedy CHC team for helping to provide a memorable experience for the nursing students who have been associated with us, for creating a welcoming environment for the nurse practitioners we hire, and for establishing a place that the community of professionals has come to know as collaborative, smart, collegial, and caring!”
