We’re about one-third of the way through 2021, and we’ve gained some serious momentum! Our collective commitment to a #Healthier2021 means that we’ve all taken the next step in our health journey. For some, that means we’ve rolled up our sleeves and committed to keeping ourselves, our families, and our community healthy by getting the COVID-19 vaccine. For others, it means committing to a new form of physical activity, healthy eating, or increasing the number of steps we take each day. Whatever it means for you, we want to push you to keep this great progress up and #StayHealthier2021!
We’re pleased to be launching the second leg of our 10-week pledge. Once again, following the lead of our President and CEO, Steve Kerrigan, Kennedy Community Health will be providing you with the motivation, tips, and tools you need to stay committed to a healthier lifestyle and ensure a healthier future for all.
The next leg will kick off on Patriot’s Day, aka Marathon Monday, April 19th, with Steve’s commitment to embarking on another journey in the name of health – community health. This time, his walk will take us from Kennedy Community Health’s first health center site, from our beginnings in the region’s largest public housing complex, Great Brook Valley, to the nation’s very first community health center in Columbia Point, Dorchester, Massachusetts. This 95-mile journey will raise awareness and needed funds to help further Kennedy Community Health’s mission, “to help people live healthier lives,” while reminding us that health is a journey, not a destination.
We look forward to being a part of the next leg of your journey!
